Huxley Forks and other South Island Shenanigans
The last month has seen us:
- on a four hour walk into Huxley Forks hut followed by running away from the weather and heading down to Tekapo where we saw South Islands newest whitewater course in action and met Dunc.
- enjoying a weekend in Murchison where I tested out the Blitz and Jo was in an Inazone222 on the Mangles, Upper Buller, Earthquake on the Matakitaki (great levels) and a run down the Middle Matakitaki. A fine introduction to NZ paddling.
- heading up Bealey Spur for a day out. So we only got halfway along the spur and back for a 5 hour effort. You've got to walk a long way before you get to the action.....
