BloKarting and Venting
Well mostly Venting to be correct. North Island is pretty active geologically speaking. The fault that caused the southern alps (not european they have alps in NZ too!) kind of has a very thin crust in the North and so forms a highly visible part of the Pacific "Ring of Fire". We kind of stepped into it as close as we'd dare and the following pictures are from such places as:
"Craters of the Moon", "The Lost Valley" (Didn't find Indy), "White Island" near to Whakatane and Pam and Nial (The Blokart owners).
